Where have all the good guys (or girls) gone?

Okay, so, you feel that you ought to get back in the saddle and meet someone. You just might find out that the dating game has changed and that it is a completely different set of rules there now that you are a single parent. The first thing you should keep in mind is to avoid trying to pick up someone at the bar. This is not your scene any more. If you don’t remember, the main thing about bars is to get someone to spend a wild night with and then go home in the morning. While that was perfectly fine back in the day, you are really into something more meaningful now.

You could, on the other hand do some volunteer work in the school, like being a chaperone at your kid’s school dance, or you can volunteer to take the kids to a field trip. This is a good idea since you could easily another single parent there who understands you.

The thing you should never underestimate is the grocery shop. You wouldn’t believe if we told you how many relationships started between the produce section and the meat section. So, don’t go doing your best Big Lebowsky impersonation when you go shopping, put on some nice clothes.
